Thank you for your patience as we navigate the lower level flood recovery and scheduled annual maintenance. Crews have been working hard to keep on track with our scheduled annual maintenance as well as getting the lower level back in safe working order from the power outage and flooding. Carpeting and flooring has been removed and ordered to be replaced for much of the lower level.
As it will take time for the flooring to arrive, a temporary flooring will be placed downstairs allowing the lower level amenities to be reopened. Here is the current timeline (subject to change):
| 5 pm on Friday, August 7-Sunday, August 9 | Entire Facility closed for scheduled annual maintenance |
| 5 am on Monday, August 10 |
Lower Level Partially Reopens including:
|
| 5 am on Tuesday, August 11 | Pool area reopens including pool, whirlpool, and dry sauna |
The following areas will remain CLOSED until new flooring is installed:
- Group Ex Studio
- Fitness Studio
- Racquetball Court 1
Alternate Swimming Pools
The Elmhurst YMCA pool and Elmhurst Park District pools are available to Courts Plus members to use for free during this time.
- Elmhurst Park District: East End Pool Schedule and Smalley Pool Schedule
- YMCA Pool Schedule and Guidelines
Please note: Smalley Pool's last day for the season is Sunday, August 9.
Group Exercise
Until the Group-Ex and Fitness Studio are able to have floors replaced, all group exercise classes will be held in the upper level Multi Purpose Room with the temporary group ex schedule. View the current schedule >>
During this time, if you are not able to use Courts Plus, members can place their membership on a special, Flood Temporary Suspension, allowing the ability to pause payments until ready to return within a year with no reactivation fee.
Thank you for your support as we navigate this situation. The District recognizes the need for a permanent solution and has engaged the services of an engineering firm to address the issue of flooding. The firm was onsite this week and has begun evaluating the situation.
Check the Courts Plus website for more updates as we continue to reopen the facility. Please reach out to courtsplus@epd.org with any questions.
