Jacque is passionate about helping people understand how their bodies work and how to manage fitness challenges. She enjoys coaching a client toward a specific goal, e.g. increasing strength, improving general fitness, enhancing fitness for a specific activity, or maximizing function after physical therapy.
After earning a BS degree in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research (“efficiency experts”) from Cornell University, she enjoyed a 35-year career in information technology before beginning her encore career - fitness - in her early fifties. When dealing with her own injury, she found it difficult to find a trainer who could work with older adults or those with movement challenges. This motivated her to earn a BS degree in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) from Elmhurst College. She received her first personal training certification before graduating and began working at Courts Plus in 2004. She later completed a MS in Kinesiology (Biomechanics) from Illinois State University.
